Meet Patrick D. Hickman
As General Counsel for Industrial Development Advantage, Patrick oversees all legal operations of the company, providing strategic guidance on acquisitions, redevelopment projects, and environmental compliance. He works closely with IDA’s leadership team to structure transactions, manage risk, and ensure the firm’s projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including EPA and State standards related to the remediation and redevelopment of brownfield and Superfund sites.
Before joining IDA, Patrick worked in the construction business and then gained extensive experience as a litigator in a general practice firm representing clients in civil matters including business matters and disputes and personal injury claims. This background gives Patrick a unique perspective in his role as General Counsel, allowing him to identify potential areas of liability and develop proactive strategies to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk exposure, and protect IDA’s interests.
